-
Base Stage: 3–4 days per week, 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM
Advanced Stage: 3 days per week including weekends plus a doubt-clearing session
-
Base Stage: Surat & Mumbai - 100% classroom (physical) training.
Advanced Stage: In Mumbai, classes are conducted in both offline and online manner. Approximately 25–30% are conducted offline whereas rest are conducted live online. In Surat, classes follow a 50–50 offline-online structure. After six months in advance stage, the modules are mainly delivered by practicing industry professionals, hence the exact offline- live online split depends on their professional schedules.
All classes(Base + Advance Stage) are live-streamed and recorded, whether conducted physically or online, so you can revisit any session for your preparation. And generally also, in every batch approximately 10-15% students are from outside Surat & Mumbai, so they are pursuing it full-fledged in the live online mode.
It is a slow and gradual pick up in effort. In the starting 6 months, 4-5 Hours/per day effort. The student is generally used to this amount of effort, as they might have given similar time for 12th boards.
In the advanced stage, there are a lot of live project works and case studies involved hence a candidate needs to put in more time as compared to the base stage. Students are recommended to put in a weekly effort of minimum 35-50 hours during this stage.
Overall, this is one of the most academically and professionally rigorous program/certification in finance and investment domain in India.
In the base stage, there are broadly seven subjects, every subject has a different testing pattern. Testing mechanisms of a few subjects are live proctored MCQs based tests while some subjects are tested through live presentations, group discussions and VIVAs.
The passing criteria is based on your scores that you obtain in respective subject tests, be it MCQ-based, or live presentation and group discussion based. A student gets multiple opportunities to make sure that their scores in subject tests reach up to the Institute's standard. For MCQ based subjects before appearing for the final subject test, a candidate is given multiple chapter tests for that subject which helps a candidate evaluate the strength and weakness areas. Multiple discussions with faculties are conducted for a student to improve on the respective chapters so that when they appear for the final main test of that particular subject, a student is able to score well as per the quality required.
Similarly, the subjects where the testing pattern is based on presentations and group discussions, there are broadly 3 to 4 group discussions and presentations that happen during the base stage. A ground-up hand-holding and feedback is provided to a candidate post every round of presentation on technical aspects lateand also on soft skills like presentation quality, communication in the group discussion so that they can improve in the next round of group discussion.
To provide this leeway of growth, scores in best 3 out of 4 presentations/GDs are taken to calculate the final score of these subjects. Hence, a candidate has multiple opportunities to improve and give their best to perform well in the base stage of the program. In the advanced stage, a candidate goes through different varieties of live project works as per the outcome of a particular subject desired.
For example, in the financial statement analysis subject, the project works revolve around analyzing an annual report in detail & ability to detect corporate governance issues and accounting frauds whereas in the business analysis and sector analysis subjects, the live project works revolve around preparing an in-depth research report on an assigned business through detailed primary and secondary research.
In the valuation subject, the project work revolves around building detailed financial models & applications of various valuation methodologies on the assigned company. Similarly, in the Investment Banking and Private Equity module, the project work would evolve around creating a detailed investment thesis & business plan on a start-up, including financial forecasting.
In all the subjects, the final project work is tested by the evaluation committee through presentations and group discussions. In the advanced stage the training and evaluation teams are independent.
The Evaluation Committee is composed of industry practitioners from leading firms in Portfolio Management, Investment Banking and Private Equity firms ensuring fair and transparent grading. This also ensures that clearing candidates have the desired attributes of both technical and soft skills that matches the industry benchmark.
A student is graded based on multiple factors like the quality of project work done, the quality of presentation that they give, and the clarity with which they answer the counter questions of the evaluation committee.
In many modules to execute the project as per the institute's benchmark students also interact with a lot of corporate professionals like CEOs, CFOs, Investor Relations Departments to understand the depth of a particular business in detail.
In the Advanced Stage too just like the Base stage, a candidate has multiple opportunities within a particular subject to improve themselves. In all the main subjects of the advanced stage, there are multiple projects that happen.
For example, in the financial statement analysis subject, the testing happens in two phases and post Phase I of testing a detailed feedback and improvement areas are communicated to students. There is a sufficient gap of 2-2.5 months before the second phase of testing, so that a candidate can improvise on his mistakes and improve in Phase II. An average of both phases is taken for final scores calculation of the subject.
Also, mock exams are conducted before every phase. The mock exams are of a similar difficulty level as the main tests. Similarly, in the Business Analysis and Valuations module, a candidate's first submission of a project is treated as a preliminary submission. The evaluation committee provides detailed feedback on the mistakes and errors committed, and students are then given an appropriate time to correct their mistakes and re-submit their revised projects, which are considered as final projects. The final projects are then graded.
The evaluation committee also helps candidates during the project application stage with dedicated multiple interactive sessions where a candidate can discuss the solutions on the bottlenecks they are facing while applying for a particular project and also guides them on the important things to take care of and key mistakes to avoid. To clear the base stage and proceed to the advanced stage a candidate needs to score an aggregate of minimum 50% in all the subjects of base stage.
In Advance Stage a candidate goes through two legs:
Leg 1: Financial Statement Analysis and Forensic Accounting
To clear leg 1 and proceed to leg 2 of the advanced stage a candidate needs to score a minimum of 60% in all the types of Assessments.
Leg 2: Business Analysis, Valuations, Investment Banking & Private Equity, Sector Analysis & others
To clear leg 2 of advance stage and proceed to campus placements a student needs to score a minimum of 60% in every subject of advance stage.
The Historical passing rates for each leg of Finbridge program (18 months) have been:
Base stage : 90-95%
Advance stage:
Leg 1 (6 months) : FSA & Forensic Analysis: 45-50%
Leg 2 (5-6 months) : BA, Valuations & others: 45-50%
Broadly speaking only 1 out of 4/5 students (20%- 25%) successfully clears the entire program — a testament to its rigorous standards and the dedication it demands.
Only the most committed make it through! After completing the 18-months of classroom training students move into the Industrial Training phase.
A special interview preparation module is conducted for over 3-4 weeks where students are trained extensively on answer constructions, polishing of tone & body language and presentation of project works. Every angle is thoroughly covered around HR questions and technical questions.Profile specific technical question training also happens here because the interview rounds vary from industry to industry like Investment Banking focuses a lot on financial analysis and valuations whereas Portfolio management focuses a lot of business analysis et cetera.
Post the interview preparation module a student needs to appear for 3 mock interviews. Post every mock interview students are provided feedback to improve upon. The mock interview preparation module is the last module of the finbridge program and a student needs to score at least 60% in the final mock to clear this module (The first 2 mocks are treated as prelim mocks to help students gain confidence and improve on the mistakes).
Then the campus placement process begins. A special placement cell manages the whole pipeline sourcing recruiters, crafting tailored resumes, building linkedin profiles & job descriptions.
The campus placement committee carefully shortlists quality recruiters to ensure the right match for a stable career path and long-term growth potential for students. Even recruiters praise this as it leads to seamless onboarding and high performance. The recruiter pipeline is ready even before campus placement season begins.
Post this the campus interviews begin and various firms interview candidates as per their shortlist. A student gets a minimum of 5-7 campus interviews per placement season. On completion of the interview process, as the institute receives an offer letter the placement cell proof reads the offer letter and ensures that job description and stipend floor of the institute are matched.
Post completion of interviews candidates join the firms as Industrial trainees for a period of 9-12 months. On completion of Industrial training almost every student receives full-time offers from the same company. During this phase again our placement committee ensures that full time packages floor as per institute standards are maintained and also job descriptions quality are maintained.
The Industrial Training of Finbridge Program is very different from a regular internship. Generally in regular internships students work in operations and clerical duties at very low stipends whereas in Finbridge Program Industrial training candidates operate as full-time analysts working on live projects, conducting in-depth industry and financial research, tracking market developments and contributing meaningfully, not just observing.
Can learn directly from seasoned professionals including Fund Managers, CIOs, Investment Bankers, and Senior Research Analysts gaining professional guidance to shape their careers early.
During this phase candidates are offered stipends ranging from ₹35,000 to ₹57,500 per month.
To make training manageable alongside graduation, our placement team negotiates with recruiters to cooperate with academic calendars and grant leaves for exam preparations promoting both professional and academic growth.
At the end of the training candidates are converted into full time roles. The placement team manages the complete transition from your initial corporate training to a full time job offer.
The minimum floor for finplus program graduates is INR 8,00,000 CTC. The median full-time package offered to our students is ₹8.5 lakh per annum, and the highest package for a fresh undergraduate has gone up to ₹13,00,000 per annum.

If a student is not able to clear any stage of the program even after the 2nd attempt, a student can choose to pursue the remaining program as a self knowledge candidate.
A Self knowledge candidate is provided the same access as compared to any normal candidate of the program - Live classes, doubt solving, attending evaluator discussion sessions, industry practitioner masterclasses et cetera. The only difference between a self knowledge candidate and a clearing candidate is campus placement opportunities. Campus Placement opportunities are only provided to cleared candidates.
A special placement assistance system is managed for the self knowledge candidates who cleared base stage and leg 1 of advanced stage and but could not clear leg 2 even after 2nd attempt due to a narrow margin - students who miss the 60% score by borderline margins (55% to 59.5%) receive placement assistance in surplus companies.
In every placement season we have some surplus companies which still remain looking for finbridge program candidates post placement of all cleared candidates. In such a scenario the self knowledge candidates are given these interview opportunities. Even for self knowledge candidates we make sure the job profiles being offered are providing quality work as work profile matters most for the long term career growth. We also transparently inform companies upfront about the background of self knowledge candidates.
