The Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) charter is a professional designation recognized as the most respected investment management designation globally.
CFA certification is issued by the CFA Institute, USA. It is a 75-year-old certification acceptable for Finance Careers & investment sector jobs in more than 170+ countries.
Eligibility Criteria
If you are pursuing a 3 year undergraduate program you can appear for CFA Level 1 after 1st year of college (preparations start after 12th), for CFA Level 2 after 2nd year of college and CFA Level 3 post graduation.

Duration
Every Level requires 8-12 months of Preparation depending on a candidate’s time management. You can clear all 3 levels of CFA in 3 - 3.5 years depending on eligibility.
Program Levels
In CFA, there are three levels: CFA Level 1, CFA Level 2, and CFA Level 3. You need to clear each level sequentially and have three years of work experience in the finance field to become a CFA charterholder.

Access Scholarship
Eligibility requirements and scholarship rules
If you are considering applying for an Access Scholarship, be sure to read all of the information below. We have made significant changes to the program and all applicants are expected to understand these changes before applying.

CFA Program exam registration is reduced to USD 400 plus any applicable tax.

The Access Scholarship has 4 application windows per year that align with each exam window.

Eligibility requirements
Applicants must meet the enrollment criteria and requirements for the CFA Program. For full eligibility requirements, please review the Access Scholarship Rules.
Providing knowingly false or misleading information in applying for an Access Scholarship is a violation of the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct. If we suspect your application contains inaccurate, deceptive, or untruthful information, you may be subject to an investigation by the CFA Institute Professional Conduct Program. Disciplinary sanctions may include a suspension or prohibition from participating in the CFA Program. You also may become ineligible to receive scholarships in the future.
Student Scholarship
This scholarship is available to students around the world who are enrolled at an affiliated university and have not yet registered for their next exam.
Award amount
CFA® Program exam registration is reduced to USD600 plus any applicable tax.
Application window
The Student Scholarship Program accepts applications from 1 September through 31 July.
Eligibility requirements
For students currently attending an affiliated university and have not yet registered for their next exam.
Applicants are not required to be enrolled in an affiliated degree program to be eligible to apply.
Eligible exam windows for Student Scholarship recipients
Student scholarships are valid for six months from the date you were notified by CFA Institute of your award. Please refer to your decision email for this date.
You are eligible to register for an open exam window depending on your level. Registration and scheduling deadlines apply. If registration has already closed for a window, you will not be permitted to register.
Professor Scholarship
Applicants must not be currently registered CFA® Program candidates. If you are considering applying for a Professor Scholarship, be sure to read all of the information below.
Award amount
CFA® Program exam registration is reduced to USD600 plus any applicable tax.
Application window
The Professor Scholarship Program accepts applications from 1 September through 31 July.
Eligibility requirements
For full-time college/university professors or administrators/department heads who teach a minimum number of credit hours at qualified institutions and are not currently registered for a CFA® exam. In addition, applicants must meet the enrollment criteria and requirements for CFA Program.
